OUR STORY
Exceed – We Fix Windows & Doors – has always been heavily involved in charity and sponsorship throughout New Zealand. A lot of our Franchisees’ are involved in their local communities, and as a group we wanted to put together something bigger than us.
A number of our Support Office team and Service Technicians have been affected by cardiac arrests in one way or another and we had noted that while there are a number of businesses these days that have Automated External Defibrillators on their premises, a lot of these are only accessible during business hours. An idea is born…
With a lot of our Service Technicians being mobile and on the road, we saw an opportunity for them to be equipped with an AED (defibrillator) on-board.
We also saw the need for more AED units to be available 24/7 in public areas. We rolled out our strategy plan to our Franchise Owners at Exceed – We Fix Windows & Doors – annual conference in May 2019.
With the backing of our whole team we set up the charity known today as… The Heart Box NZ Charitable Trust.
